Job Description

The Senior High School Teacher I (TVL Track) is responsible for teaching specialized subjects in the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track for Grades 11–12. This role equips learners with practical skills, competencies, and work ethics necessary for employment, entrepreneurship, or further training in technical-vocational fields. Instruction is aligned with DepEd’s K–12 curriculum standards and TESDA competency-based requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Instructional Delivery

  1. Prepare and deliver lessons in TVL specializations such as Home Economics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agri-Fishery Arts, and Industrial Arts.
  2. Integrate theory and hands-on practice through workshops, simulations, and project-based learning.
  3. Ensure instruction meets TESDA competency standards for National Certificates (NC I/II).

Workshop & Laboratory Management

  1. Maintain a safe and organized learning environment in classrooms, labs, and workshops.
  2. Manage tools, equipment, and materials responsibly.
  3. Enforce safety protocols and proper use of facilities.

Assessment & Evaluation

  1. Design and administer performance-based assessments, practical demonstrations, and written evaluations.
  2. Provide constructive feedback to support skill mastery and professional growth.
  3. Maintain accurate records of student performance in compliance with DepEd and TESDA policies.

Student Development

  1. Mentor students in developing technical skills, work ethics, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  2. Guide learners in preparing for TESDA certification and workplace readiness.
  3. Support students’ career pathways in technical-vocational fields.

Collaboration & Professional Growth

  1. Participate in Learning Action Cell (LAC) sessions, in-service trainings, and professional development programs.
  2. Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and community stakeholders to enrich learning experiences.
  3. Contribute to school activities, skills competitions, and outreach programs.


Qualifications Standard

Bachelor's degree relevant to the area of specialization plus 18 professional units in Education; or any Bachelor's degree and completion of technical-vocational course(s) in the area of specialization plus 18 professional units the area of specialization
